George got a Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award

George Garinis received the prestigious Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award from the Humbold Foundation.

George was appointed (together with Prof. Manolis Dermitzakis, University of Geneva) as the Greek National Representative to the EMBL Council!

George's appointment will be for 3 years.

George was elected Chair person of the department of Biology, University of Crete

George will take office in September 2020 for two years.
